Thursday - Zion National Park

Thursday started early. Pat & I headed out to Zion National Park about three hours away. We had a wonderful ride. Some of the sites we passed were the LasVegas Motorsports Speedway and a community named Littlefield (name of my High School was Littlefield).

Words can not properly express the grandeur of the massive mountains and the array of colors
of the stone. There is very little foliage, mostly cacti and straggly shrubs.

We arrived at Zion National Park, watched a video at the Visitor's Center. We rode the shuttle through the Park.

There were nine stops where you can get off and on at your leisure. We did several short hikes and enjoyed the grandeur of the sites and mountain formations. In the bottom of the canyon, you feel small and can see how massive the mountains are.

We saw a lizard, a squirrel and several deer in the wild.

Having a great time!!!!!

On to the Valley of Fire....
