Tuesday's Adventures

Due to internet connection difficulties, I have been unable to post for a few days.

Tuesday started with an easy morning and then to Sam's Town for buffet. Too much food!!!

The scenery here is breathtaking. GOD is Awesome!!! The ride up to Lake Mead National Park was wonderful!! Words cannot properly describe the beauty. The lake is absolutely gorgeous. I have about worn out the word "WOW". They seem to be so happy at seeing my reaction to the sights.

Next stop was Hoover Dam, which is an engineering wonder. The water level is low and you can see the iron oxidation where the water level has been in the past (white color). They have built a new huge and high bridge over the dam which will open later this year.

I walked from Nevada to Arizona.
That sounds like a feat but actually
one step did it. I stood in two
states at once.

The temperature reached 106 F, but it is different than NC heat. This is a beautiful part of the United States. We have an absolutely amazing and breathtaking country. We are so blessed.

We traveled from the Hoover Dam to Downtown Las Vega$ to tour some of the hotels and see the sights. Caesar’s Palace was magnificent with large ceilings and statutes and fountains galore.

When you entered Le Paris, it was just like you were walking the streets of Paris with all kinds of shops and restaurants.

Bellagio Hotel has a huge area that they call the Conservatory. There are all kinds of plants and flowers, large metal and glass sculptures, miniature hot air balloons. It was absolutely amazing to see. They also have dancing fountains with lights.

We rode the monorail to the City Center and walked around the shops. There were beautiful walls of water.

Then we headed to Timbers for good food. Then home. According to Larry we walked about 7 or 8 miles today. Oh, my sore feet and aching back.

Wonder what tomorrow holds…
